Esko Pajamies for Asko ‘Koivutaru’ Brown Leather LoungeChair & Ottoman, 1970s

£695.00

Beautiful original ‘Koivutaru’ lounge chair with matching ottoman designed by Esko Pajamies for Asko, Finland, in the 1970s. The set features a sculptural bentwood frame in stained beech, a canvas sling seat, and thick chocolate-brown leather cushions, creating a light yet comfortable silhouette typical of Scandinavian modern design. Both pieces retain their original manufacturer’s markings to the underside and present a lovely, honest patina. The high back and separate footstool offer excellent support, making this an ideal reading or TV chair in a living room, bedroom, or study. Seating Capacity: 1. Upholstery Fabric: Leather. Frame Colour: Brown.

Because most pieces are one‑off, I can offer a short, no‑obligation reservation. I’m happy to hold an item for up to 24 hours without payment. After that, it will automatically return to open sale so other clients also have a fair chance to purchase

Good vintage condition with age-consistent wear: Leather with natural creasing, small scuffs and minor marks. Wooden frame with scattered scratches, small dents and bumps. Canvas/cloth sling with some wear and light discolouration. Structurally stable, comfortable and fully functional.
